Guided Walking Tours
Contrasts in Kreuzberg
Good and evil, old and new, peaceful and chaotic - and with special attention to sweet and sour, of course . . .
The guided tour from Südstern to Market Hall 9 leads through one of the most contrasting districts of Berlin, where the city's past and present interact in a rather curious fashion. We will not only compare history with the here and now but also see, taste and experience Berlin and the world through insider stories.

Chaos and Structure
Friedrichhain, the new party district in the East, offers much of the alternative culture that Kreuzberg in the West had been famous for in the past. We will take a stroll from the boulevard Frankfurter Allee, known for its Soviet gingerbread style, to the side streets and their so-called “Kiez”-culture where squatters live next to normal people; where fancy bars alternate with creative shops; where, along the river Spree, recognized art meets “forbidden” art; where the East Side Gallery fights for its survival against investor's interests - and where you can dive into Berlin's vibrant nightlife after the tour: in a stylish restaurant or in one of the outlandish nightclubs that can be found all the way to Ostkreuz.
